In Firefox at least, in settings there is an option called "Search for text when you start typing". I usually have that disabled, but it seems you have it enabled (or whatever its called on Chrome if you use that).
It's most likely disturbing things since the moment you type a, i guess focus is lost form the clicker game and then goes to the search box.
I just tried it with "Search for text when you start typing" off and then it works for me.
Another thing I tried while "Search for text when you start typing" is on is that I put a textbox in the site (HTML input field) by editing the website html using the browser console. I clicked in that and then did the code and it worked (since the search thing doesn't pop up if you are typing in a textbox

This was very cool, and I imagine it was a lot of work to coordinate. I was here from Day 5 through to the end, and I won nothing, but I enjoyed all the little anti-bot puzzles and I appreciate the thoughtfulness and generosity. I think it is totally infectious, March had a TON of giveaways!

Nope, I didn't get the other nongram hint...was pretty tired and decided not to keep grinding at different combos of symbols trying to find the right one. Might give it another go later.
