I have ~4500 games hidden and with my roughly 1600 games owned (cheez, is it really that many already?) I'm down to 2 pages of giveaways as well, sometimes a third page pops up with a few games - usually when a bundle goes live ;)
I do it the same way you do, when I see a game I don't know I check out the storepage and hide it immediately if I am not interested in it. Obviously I find more games check out worthy then some other people around here ;)

How do people accumulate that many games?.. Me, I'm just closing in on 400 games (on steam at least).
To answer your question, I don't use scripts, but hide a lot of games.

I've actually started hiding stuff I'm not interested in as opposed to just DLC that the system doesn't recognize that I have. I went from under 100 to close to 500 now. I'm still having a bit of "but what if I want to play this one day in the impossibly distant future?" but then I remember I already have too many games anyway.

Still, because of it I've seen considerably more stuff I'd be interested thats not on my WL, though the recommended page will help with that too.
I'm not sure I'll ever get it as clean as you have but I definitely like the idea!

The only things I hide are GTA V GAs because obvious reasons and games that I already own but that still show up. So the list is quite short.
Otherwise, I have a pretty big wishlist (700+) and I spend all my points on it. Whenever I have spare points, I take some time to look for trains, puzzles and so on but I try to enter only the games that I want to play own.

I'm 3 games short of 3.7K myself! I also hide games I don't have any interest in playing or at least owning/collecting.

Thank you for your generosity~ I don't really manage my giveaways at all, I just hide games I already have because I'm too lazy to do anything else really...

I am using wishlist and group tabs. Sometimes I hide games aswell and before entering a game I have a look at steam if I would like to have it.

Started "recently" to use the hide feature, have a bit more than 300 games hidden.. congratz on hiding 7000 of them, sounds like a lot of effort involved!
