My colleague died yesterday in car accident while on work. I don't have all the info yet, but apparently he was hit by another vehicle on road curve directly on his side, and died from internal bleeding almost instantly. I still can't believe it. He was a good man always willing to help others. Rest in peace Milan.

The first taste of death that I had was not within my family--but a friend on my soccer team. A tire blew out, and the SUV rolled (wear your seatbelt); everyone was thrown out of the car. My friend watched his little sister die (6 years old).

I have always thought that the death of a child is the saddest since s/he would not have the chance to fully taste life. At least a 30-year-old has had a fuller experience of life. Still, what if that man/woman has 3 children--is it worse than the first case for a child to struggle on without a parent?

Death can make us feel useless, because there is nothing that we can do to fix the death. Yet, you can. You can be a better friend. You can give some extra support to a kid with a failed support system. You can have compassion on a stressed, single/widowed parent. You can frustrate lives, or you can encourage a positive life.

Don'T Fear Death - Poem by Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Blok

Don't fear death in earthly travels.
Don't fear enemies or friends.
Just listen to the words of prayers,
To pass the facets of the dreads.

Your death will come to you, and never
You shall be, else, a slave of life,
Just waiting for a dawn's favor,
From nights of poverty and strife.

She'll build with you a common law,
One will of the Eternal Reign.
And you are not condemned to slow
And everlasting deadly pain.

My condolences.
