Only the first key activated on your account can prove ownership of the account or at least that was the case years ago. Otherwise technically every key swap/giveaway/purchase from an unofficial source could lead to that and it would have been a mess.

Someone commented on my profile with a steam game key. I didn't think and claimed it... Can they get control over my account through support or anything like this proving the ownership with that key?
