The price of the DLC was indeed a bit lower for a short time.

From my point of view no.
They delisted the former, dead, version and not supported it anymore.
Bring now a "newer" version for a relative high price and the bundle is available for around the half. Which is, for my taste, still too much for a, new relisted/again realeased, dead game.

They aren't manipulating basket. This seems to just be a steam thing. They do not take into consideration the "bundle discount" when in your shopping cart (which is 72% for the bundle). The 33% is based on the 40% and 15% individual discounts on the items within the bundle.
Base price, $20 + $7 = $27
Discount, $12 + $6 = $18
(27 - 18)/27 ~ 34% (because I'm lazy with my math)
another way to look at is
Bundle discount: 72%
Current discount on the bundle: 81%
(0.81 - 0.72)/(1-0.72) ~ 34%
Just check any other "complete your set" bundle that Steam has. If the individual games within the bundle are not on discount, it shows up at full price within cart, even if the "bundle discount" is 94% (looking at you Borderlands Pandora's Box)

That's exactly the point: The dev can't manipulate it.
And for me, it is a kind of manipulation (from Steam), because they shoul calculate the discount on basis of the full price of the contents, in this case: 27€.
Besides that, it still is confusing, because on the store page the bundle discount is mentioned as 81%, in the basket as 33% - with the same content. They use a different base in these cases.

Price changed for me? Not the error.
Maybe it was only on my region?
I could swear 6 hours ago the price for the bundle was 11.something for me (Brl, Brazil, SA)
Now its 15.67. The base game discount stayed the same, 35.99
Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me...
But maybe there was some other glitch happening for me- i could swear it was eleven, steamdb didnt record that price for me, but current price in Russian Rubble is exactly the number i recalled. Weird...

Seems this is a re-releasing (possibly a re-re-releasing) of a Chinese game that "might" have been using stolen assets. The game is being published under a different publisher as well. I did not dig greatly but seems that the original publish (Star Chess Studio) released 2 games on steam. Both have been banned. Both released in 2023. From the looks, the Dlisted version was out for over a year and I think still playable if you own it.
Fans seem upset about it, which is fair. Since they are being forced to pay again. So maybe they are doing this "price glitch" to boost sales and cover over current anger with a flood of new players who are not tied to the old game.
Again, not to deep into the drama of this game. Just looked interesting enough to give it a try.

I bought it in case it is a price error, but may possibly refund it before the 2 weeks, as the whole situation with re-re-releasing, AI generated content and chinese studio seem fishy to say the least.

The bundle may be a price glitch. At first,, because of the percentage off, but second, because in the shopping card it says 33% off. But I could buy the bundle.
The game was re-released today (01/11/25).
(Rereleased, thanks to Carenard and Lugum)
