Help choosing stylus pen. Maybe? I don't even know.

I figure some of you are artsy types, so you may know more about this than I do. My girlfriend is wanting to be able to write stuff on her computer. As far as I knew, stylus pens only worked on touchscreens or like those smartboards they have in schools. I was tasked with finding something she would like and I'm kinda lost. Very lost. This is not my bailiwick. So I'm requesting help to find some sort of writing utensil that will allow her to draw or write out equations without having to use a mouse, since writing with a mouse is apparently not fun to do.

Also any recommendations on screen recording software would be great. Something with abilty for picture-in-picture, ability to add audio later, and maybe something that'd work with the stylus? idk. Looked at CamStudio and it seemed pretty good. Also free which is a pretty big boon.

I'll try to add a couple of small GAs later for the help, but we just got 2 foot of snow overnight and I'm going to be missing work tomorrow and maybe even the next day >.<

You should look for a small Wacom tablet.
There are plenty of models for "domestic" use,
then you have more bigger devices (and more expensives) for working.

I would recommend Wacom. They work best and are very durable :)
