When i playred it i didnt install any mods... i like the vanilla game, the only mods that i installed were mods with new stories, i remember one with a new full city and story but i cant remember the name nor the city it takes play, i remember everything being red and dusty

Latest Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch is a must.
After that if you want you can find some nice hi-res texture packs.
I wouldn't go much further from the original if you haven't played through the game yet.
