... and there i was feeling weird having fled once (over a fence) from a schaefer-hund who
either wanted a piece of me or just wanted to play (when i was a 9 or so)

I think you are lucky to! Yes they loyal beings, but I'm still afraid of them, (I'm 24 years old by the way)
As I think of it back, maybe one (or few :) ) of the case was mine fault because, I made a wrong move and the dog maybe thought I'm attacking him so that was the reason why he bite me I belive. Actually I never get on well with dogs. But I don't know why? I'm a good person. :)

too bad :/ ... yeah dogs have their own kind of perception; good that you don't bear some
kind of hatred towards them :-) never helps ... still being bitten 6 times is no laughing matter,
and never getting along seems rather mildly put to words considering

I have raised more than 10 dogs in mah house, feed them & caring for them
having them since they still puppies
and I got no issue of the dog attacking me owner
Yes they can attack other people, but not me the owner
