Just finish Far Cry 3 (citra ending)

I never played far cry 2, only far cry 1 , but I know that the games are not connected, you can still play far cry 3 and understand the whole story

Far Cry is a classic, must by played. Far Cry 2 will drive you insane, it isn't very good. Basically you run around non stop, doing nothing. It takes forever to get anywhere. I didn't hate it, but it takes a long time to accomplish anything. Far Cry 3 is great, I beat the game right after it came out. It has the running around of Far Cry 2, but they found ways to speed it all up and to give you many things to do.

You don't need to play any of the main Far Cry games, as all three are standalone stories. The Far Cry: Instincts games were connected to the first one, though. If you ever get a chance to play them.
