I know what it means to be unemployed for a long time period. All I can say to you is just don't sit there with your hands in your hands and hope for a job, but sign up for professional or specialisation courses, even for something you don't know anything about. Some of them aim directly to hiring people.

I spent some time learning some Python basics, but Python, Java, and C/C++ are all things Im considering learning to some degree with the end goal of being a full-stack dev

That's awesome! C++ and Java are my go-to's but some of my friends absolutely hate it and swear by C# with Unity.

Yeah, python's great. My personal grievance with it is just the lack of concrete formatting. You have to ensure that all indents are the same as it will break with one wrong space.

Hey everybody.
Tomorrow is my 30th birthday, and while I don't have much to spare, I figured I throw a train out there with some leftovers of mine. Been here for almost 5 months and had a pretty great time with winning, giving, and so many wonderful puzzles and events. Been unemployed since March last year and mostly been playing games since. Cheap bundles let me get involved and the giveaways were a lot of fun. I just got fully vaccinated and will start looking for a new job soon. Thanks for being a wonderful community! <3
