I still wait on the reaction and vote of the other staff member but thought i can answer in the meantime your question about region restricted GAs.
In general the GAs should be unrestricted, as much as possible.
In some cases, like the HB keys that are often restricted in some way, it isn't possible to make always unrestricted GAs. If one or two times region restrictions happen on top that are bound to one or mutiple continents and not only one or 2 countries, it would be ok.
It wouldn't be ok for us if a higher amount are region restricted because our group aren't big, around 250 members and i would say only the half is nearly daily active, and it would lower the possible participiants to a very low number.

Got accepted and continued to follow the rules and stayed in the green for ratios for months if not a year.

Just discovered I got removed without warning and without reason either.
The owner isn't someone to be trusted because they remove people haphazardly.

Could be a mistake, but some heads up to explain reason is always nice. Have you tried to reach out in some way to ask them directly, or were they one of the people who blacklisted you now too?

EDIT 2 in response to the non-answer below: 'wasted lifetime' is a bit of an disingenuous and false excuse from the the owner, especially when I witnessed them firsthand in their Discord server (back when I bothered with it for a few weeks) spend almost every waking hour copying links to discussions from SG here, pasting it on their Discord server then making fun of this or that person.
Yet here it's 'wasted lifetime.'
I like how they're exposing their own behavior with each reply.
As for you if you become a member, expect to walk on eggshells near a certain individual, and if you ask about something that doesn't make sense (like someone getting blacklisted and their SG info made public in Discord group), they'll either not respond or use an excuse like they don't have time, only to see them paste about a SG topic a few minutes later and comment about it at length on Discord instead of, you know, responding on SG itself.

Usually members get reasons for decissions but in this case it is different.
Each one that know me, know that it give, far from tiny, reasons for such a step but i will not explain it more detailed because it would start a endless discussion (not with you) that would only waste lifetime and lead nowhere. And it would clutter the application thread.
To your case:
I go slowly throught the applications, yours yesterday, and in some cases, like yours, are other staff members involved that should give me a vote or additional infos and opinions.
I can't speed this up but be sure that a decission will happen in the next days.

Masafor informed us about you being kicked and predicted your reaction. I know Masafor for some time and he's not the person who acts without good reason. The fact that some SG moderators are members of the group should shed some light on the respectability of the group too.

Translation: You defend him but have provided zero information as to why he did so.
A decent way to handle this by a group owner is to inform the person what they did.
There's also the fact that I was abused on his Discord server months ago twice. First time he handled it fair because of a serial abuser and I was her latest victim. Second time months later by a friend of his, he verbally abused us both then his friend immediately after replied to me in public using the F word.
Your friend Masafor's reaction? He left the abuse up and then involved the one moderator he has (and who follows his whims) (EDIT TO ADD: A day or two after this comment, it seems a certain someone felt threatened of being called out for having only one mod, so they added people as mods just as a smokescreen in addition to the sole other mod already mentioned. The kicker is these three other people listed as mods on the Steam group don't even have a SG profile or activity whatsoever. It's public knowledge, you can check it on the group member page). A few hours later I was given a warning although I didn't verbally abuse anyone. Funny thing his friend got a warning as well and that's it. I didn't bother with the Discord since.

Check my SG stats in general. I have 4,141entries in over 2 years. So I'm very, very picky about what GAs I enter.
Translation: Leaving the group isn't a loss.
The way Masafor treats rule-biding members though is very questionable.
He blacklists people for the smallest and weirdest reasons and makes it public in his Discord group.
You even called him out on it yourself once. You can check the channel if you forgot, Hbarkas.
The fact that you're defending the group with zero explanation of this particular situation is biased.
Mentioning the mods doesn't intimidate rule abiders.

My profile is friends-only and game stats are always public to them. He has been on my friend list since he accepted me into the group. So he had full access to my game stats and a visible profile.
Also, even if another member has a private profile, he could message the first, no?

I don't think I'm going to join right now. I was keen when I initially sent the request, but I'm saving money right now (weddings are expensive :P) so I'm worried I wouldn't be able to keep up with the requirements. Masafors Group of Friends requirements:
The minimum to join the group are:
◾ Min. level 3 at sg
◾ Level 30 at steam
◾ No private profile
◾ Add Masafor as friend
If you don't fulfill this minimum requirements then you are able to write too. We will look then closer into it and handle that requests from case to case.
Rules:
1.) No one is forced to make regular giveaways for the group.
1a.) Besides a first Giveaway, exclusive for the group, max. 48h after joining the group, to prevent a abuse. You aren't allowed to enter Group giveaways till this Giveaway ended and got marked as received. [Minimum GA duration time 1 day]
2.) All members are allowed to enter group GAs
2a.) But if someone wins from the group at SG and his gift difference are worse as -$50, they lose the right to enter more SG group GAs until their gift difference are more positive as -$50.
2b.) You have 6 months to fix your stats to be more positive as -$50. After that timeframe we will kick that member.
3.) Group Giveaways are exclusive for our group and can not be shared with the Whitelist or other groups.
4.) Free Games: 1x One Copy of each Quality Freebie are allowed, if the game have min. 80% rating and min. 1000 reviews at steam. Possible games are, as example, 1x Grip, 1x Ancestors Legacy, 1x Syberia and so on.
Lower free games aren't allowed.
5.) We reserve the right to intervene and talk with each gifter about the GAs if we see some unhealthy behavior for the group - as example shady RU shop GAs etc.
6.) Blacklisting other members is allowed but if you do, you have to inform one of the staff about it.
The reason for this is that if we get the same blacklisted username different times we obviously need to look closer at that member.
7.) You must be subscribed to https://steamcommunity.com/groups/MasasGoF/discussions/0/1652170487947948564/ to be notified of any changes to the rules. This also avoid members saying "I wasn't aware of the rule changes".
8.) Each member that aren't login on sg for 1 year+ will be kicked from the group but can rejoin when he is again active.
We want to prevent any form of abuse or leeching with our rules.
So join in IF you aren't at my BL - check here -, fulfill the minimum req., read the rules and accept them.
If you know someone, or more as one, that is in our discord or group then please list his/her name and it will raise your chances of a approval very much. Or tell him/her to contact me at discord. That will speed things up.
Multiaccounters, Autojoiners and Cheaters aren't welcome in our group. If it happens on sg or outside of it.
We try to get all nice users that use exactly ONE account, click all the enter buttons by themself and want a environment that is black sheep free.
We respond as fast as possible, don't worry if it takes days.
