SteamGifts won't sync

I just got a bunch of new games, so I went to manually synch my games so that the new stuff I have would disappear from the list of eligible contests.

I'm getting an error that says that I need to change to a public account. My account's always been public! I certainly haven't changed anything since the last time I synched. Any ideas?

I tried again after it came back. Still no go. Anyone else tried to do it within the last few minutes?

Got the same problem here.

Well just give it some time and try in an hour, if Steam community have been down for a while it probably has tons of requests at the moment, maybe the server is overloaded.
