Wow, these are incredible news! I was really hoping for a FTL sequel but this is great.
I can't believe they are not going to charge for the update. There are plenty of games that add useless paid dlc and these guys make one that seem really good for free... I'm not complaining though :P

I'm so excited! FTL is like one of my favorite games.

Curses, now I'll have to replay it and get angry when one of my crew members randomly dies again. Darn it, game, why do you hate me so much! (But in all seriousness, that's really nice of them. :D ) And now there is mind control in it? Yeah, I can already see it- "One of your crew members suddenly pulls out his gun and shoots himself in the head. Too bad.". (Yeah, I guess I'll play it again. Now if only they'd add achievements...)

Looking forward to this, sounds like they'll have plenty of new quests and events as well.

Hopefully there will be new player ships as well, though for free it's not like I can complain ;P
