Hi all, happy easter and otherwise internationally celebrated holiday of note.

I created a seven-game train that pings back and forth between jigidi and steamgifts. It's my first train, so LMK if anything is broken!

Keys are all from fanatical, so if there are any surprise region restrictions, please understand that's a bit of a surprise to me too, but it's never been a problem for me in the past. Train starts here: https://www.jigidi.com/jigsaw-puzzle/i0seykvy/a-palette-knife-painting-of-a-police-precinct/

Also, low-key, I want to celebrate Pantaloon. IYKYK, but if you don't, check em out here: https://www.pantaloon.io/
I just completed the April Pantaloon puzzle, and it's a joy as always :)

The best part of this train will be the:

View Results
Mid-effort AI-generated art
Doing lots of jigidis because I can't stop myself
Getting games from Fanatical bundles for free
Just spending time on Steamgifts because I like to Steamgifts. It's a verb now.

Oh no. Many Jigidis for one train? I'm not sure I can call that fun, especially with big sized Jigidis.
If you could please at least disclose which games are in the train, so that we know if there's even a real reason to go through with this.

Yeah… it might be that I’m in my honeymoon period with jigidis and I am not as sick of them as some on SG… i really enjoy them! I thought it would be fun to leave the games as a funny (if underwhelming) surprise so people could wonder and guess as they do the puzzles. I may adjust course and just let people know in a day or two— ie, I’m not gonna die on this hill— please stay tuned!

UPDATE this whole thing was more or less inspired by love of jigidiing for steamgifts, so for today I’ve decided not to reveal the games (yet?) however, for those who want a mild adventure rather than an anti-human anti-bot measure, the first GA page now has a link to all 6 subsequent jigidis with the PUZZLES names, so you can make informed decisions on your weird jigidiing. Each puzzle’s subject is connected to the game in some weird tangential way

final UPDATE, for those of you who truly hate jigidis, but really love free games, the GAs are for:
Karma City Police
Doomed Lands
Mordheim
talk to strangers
Narcosis
DEVIL'S WAY
valfaris mecha therion

Jigidis are still required, personally for me, each one took less than 30 minutes.

Ok, I've decided to push through. I didn't really enjoy the jigidis, but at least I can say I've finished it. Thanks for the giveaways! ❤️

There is to SGTools any case anyone is wondering (At least from the first Jigidi :)

Can you explain what that means? I didn’t set anything up with SG tools and I don’t really know how SG tools works

Occasionally someone will post something like a Jigidi or riddle for fun and to keep away the bots.

Sometimes they don't mention that they use SGTools as a further means of preventing just anyone accessing their GA (Smart move).

Unfortunately some people, like myself, are incorrectly tarred by SGTools due to the age of the system and the perceived fault.

It's no big deal and I, and many others, are happy to know that SGTools is an issue for us. But knowing so upfront can save time and effort prior to attempting the puzzle solving :)

As a side note, I got to the Lichtenstein Jigidi (Very nice!) and had sorted piled up while working on the edges. Went to answer the phone and Chrome had managed to refresh the page and lose all my work xD

There's no getting away from the gremlins some days :)

Ooo, it creeps me out because I really didn’t do anything in SGtools to set these up— it was all jigidi and this site— maybe I had a latent sgtools sign in that interjected itself to the process? That kinda creeps me out, I wonder if that site has become less secure or something… I hope none of this ends up compromising my Steam account one day

Oh no you have nothing to worry about Grogglz.

You have no SGTools set in your train (At least the first train) and if you did you would know about it :)

SGTools is a fine tool and doesn't do you any harm. It is also a good idea to set rules which prevent certain people from entering via those links. To be honest it makes a lot of sense for some people who are particular but don't want to use groups or whitelist GAs.

It is just that when it was first created it didn't match up with the rules as they are now. And haven't been corrected.

It is mostly just old timers like me who got hit with a "No" for rule breaking back in the day and that "No" still stands even though the rules have been updated to prevent things like that happening again. None of it is a problem, just an inconvenience which we live with.

The only potential problem is when you've gone through all the effort of solving things or doing puzzles to then see the SGTools limiter.

I only mentioned it in this thread to let people know that solving your puzzles is not a problem for them if they are worried about such things.

I really wouldn't worry about SG or SGtools. Steam/Valve have measures in place to keep your account protected from such things :)

Ouch. I assume you were not logged into jigidi then. It saves as you go. I'm not a big fan of jigsaws but do them because I want to see the trains. I once lost a big one when my browser crashed, I've made sure I'm logged in ever since.

nonos on the other hand. I do just because i enjoy doing them. lol.

I quite enjoy the jigsaws (The good ones, which this Lichtenstein was grooving into) but I take my time with them and put them into colour or pattern piles to come back to later.

Something always goes wrong with technology every now and then. I try not to let it get me down.

But the Chrome browser deciding the autofresh is making me consider alternatives like Brave or something else because my Internet experience is not dictated by someone else's ideas of what is shared, with whom and how often and that's all I'm seeing from my investigation into these 'updates'.

Still, SG is here to be a healthy distraction from such things :)

I guess it's because the games aren't listed and the chance of me wanting any of them is unlikely.
Of course, they may actually be great games, and I'm missing out, but that's my decision :)

Yeah, I feel like the AI did not want to give me some ancient alchemical text drawing of an ogre— the first version was even more cartoony than the one that made it into the jigidi 😅

Bump!

I'd like to thank you for using jigidis, I'd rather spend my time doing 200 jigidis than spend it trying to break a puzzle/code that takes me nowhere (I hate to be stuck), only to come back to it after hours and days trying to decipher it, just to read in the solution that I could have never gotten it because I'm too dumb XD

Also, you gave more than enough time to solve them all.

Maybe a list of the games, if that would be okay, so people know if the jigidis are worth a bit of extra effort...?

Appreciate the train idea. There's definitely some jigidi puzzle enthusiasts on this site!

Seven 150-piece jigsaw puzzles? I think a not small number of users will use solver for this.
