Someone would have to have exact same build as you do to have any accuracy on the test.

Even my R9 290 performs very well on directx 12 and vulcan games. Too bad there aren't that many around yet though.

FO4 and Skyrim are bad tests for GPU because they are so CPU intensive.

How did you measure the TDP?
Edit: TPD means Total Power Draw or what?

You can see the power draw with a program like Rivatuner, but it's only for Polaris GPUs if I'm not mistaken.
Also, no, TDP is
the maximum amount of heat generated by a computer chip or component (often the CPU or GPU) that the cooling system in a computer is designed to dissipate in typical operation
Though you may use it to very roughly guesstimate the power consumption.

Yes, I know what TDP is but you wrote TPD
I was wondering if you had measured the power draw of your PC with another GPU then with the 480 using a power consumption measuring tool (I can't remember the name!) :D

The TPD is the Total Power Draw, RivaTune as part of Afterburner, measures the amount of Power run through the GPU in W(atts).
How accurate that draw is I couldn't vouch for, however if you look around a lot of people use it and and it's considered very reliable, so much so that most PC and Tech Magazines reference it quite often.

Yes it is an inquiry - because I want to know how an nVidia card would perform in the same game. Ideally, if the other person had the same CPU and tried the tests, it would give an accurate summation.
I only asked because I've heard/read so much bull from people who are paid to review and they either seem to be fanboys (of AMD or nVidia) and unable to give an unbiased review or they don't mention power draw or temp in actual numbers - just "It gets hot" or "It really sucks the juice".

the power draw thing was fixed on a driver update.

I recently upgraded to the RX480 and and I was a little underwhelmed at first, a lot of people (who get paid to talk about these cards) were talking about power draw, performance vs power/heat etc and basic game play.
I decided to run some tests because even though it managed to play Fallout 4 and Skyrim in 1080p with 60fps, when I switched up to 4K it ran hot and there was some tearing in games at about 47fps.
Then I installed DOOM (New version), set the API to Vulcan and was blown away.
Running at 4K, on Ultra settings, for 6 solid hours,Framerate was 60fps, TPD hit a max of 103.6W, GPU temp never got past 87.3C, and memory (VRAM) never peaked over 3.8Gb.
Lowering the Res for comparison, to 1080p, I unlocked my Framerate control, and let loose.
Frame rate peaked at 197fps and lowest was 159 fps. TPD hit 88.3W, Temp 69.5C and VRAM use 3.6Gb.
Can somebody try it with a 1060 or 1080, and post their results? I'd love to see a comparison from an independent tester.
(I used MSI Afterburner for results if you can use that as well to keep results accurate).
