ATP Steam should just allow gifting to all regions and give the option of paying the full price of the region we are gifting to :((

Under the converted price column, some prices will have a green percentage, some red.
Any region wit a red percentage that goes above 10% you can't gift to. Any other region, you can.
In my case, I can't gift the game to Swiss people only.

just a warning, if you direct gift from steam to much valve might disable your ability to do that... and its very hard to get that back.

Yeah ty.. it already happened to me once before xD They told me to confirm that i have access to my account.... thankfully i got it back pretty fast... A friend of mine bought black myth wukong as a gift for someone around xmas....He had already gifted a lot during xmas to people from his acc... steam blocked his account for gifting and the 50ish usd of BMW is still in transit... he didnt get a refund nor did the recipient receive the gift... I really think steam should rework its gifting policies.. sometimes people just like spreading happiness.. the feeling of waking up to a gift is so nice xD

Use steamdb and check the price difference there. Steam allows a 10% difference, anything above is a no-go. Also do have in mind, that Steam recommends some exchange rates, but developers are free to set their own prices for each region, so it's a game by game check

Yes steam regional/shop restrictions are a mess and it's the honest people which suffer the most form them. Prices for many regions have nothing to do with their economy and then there are gifting restricitons. I would understand if it was for inventory gifts, but since they changed and you need to gift to a specific person, why not just show a warning and offer to gift at the recipients price, right?

yes exactly bro... I have no qualms paying extra and i am very sure most people wont... Idk all these restrictions from steam take the joy of gifting away :(( Its about time steam changes it policies a bit...

Is there a way to know what regions i can gift games to? My steam acc is Indian. Gifting directly from steam is so much easier than procuring keys from different websites ngl.
