The Godfather has been my favourite read till date. The way it weaves together the story is just absolutely beautiful. I also happened to read the books after watching the movies and playing the licensed games. So I had the theme music playing in the back of the mind all the while I was reading. It elevated the mood somewhat :p

Not much, the finnish translation did a very fine job of keeping both the tone and flow of the original text. It is generally considered a very fine translation from what I've understood.
