This is incredible. 4 million in 4 days. 190k concurrent players. Seems like remaster is an unimaginable hit, and mind you thats 4 million at a 67$ CAD price tag. I think Fallout 3 remaster is basically guaranteed now.

Edit: the 4 million number includes gamepass players. Still, the game seems to be doing incredibly well.

Good point. It's a great way to play the game and many others.

That is a lot of players. And some of the people who bought it haven't started playing yet. Like me, for example. Why? Because they shadow dropped it while I was and am in the middle of playing Rogue Trader. But I'll be adding to the player count pretty soon. :)

The game isn't even in the top 47 most played on xbox charts so the gamepass argument is questionable. Most players seem to buy the game. It may be tough to acknowledge success but this is undeniably a hit.

Those charts seem to lag updating, topping on Steam but not there is highly unlikely, also does that xbox list even include pc players.

The post is about factual accuracy, not judgement.

Yeah. The Fallout 3 Remaster is definite. But something else I think is interesting is Bethesda being willing to test how functional fusing the Creation Engine with another engine will be. I would guess this also factors into their plans for ES6.

It's a very solid remaster. Looking forward for more of the pre-Skyrim games to get the same treatment.

I wonder if it's even worth playing Morrowind at this point or wait for a possible remaster.

I really think Morrowind needs a lot more than a Remaster. Don't know how willing they are to doing that.

I'm among the early buyers, and I'm really enjoying the remake so far (although admittedly optimization could be better).

As the original released Todd stated it wasn't made for actual hardware but for future one. Traditions are hard to break.

I know that original game was technical milestone of its era, people loved that, except that superugly bloom effect everywhere, but still I dont understand why to pay for modernized version of this TES.

Or am I only one who disliked that antimotivating lets level up all together system? Its direct oposite of what i expect from RPGs.

I'm really surprised. The original Oblivion is about 20 years old but it still holds up extremely well. Not only that there are about 20 years worth of mods to tinker with the base game in various ways. Is the remaster really worth it?

When I think of games that need remasters, I think of old, janky ones with interface and control problems, like the original System Shock.
