Many of us know the name. Many of us love his work. But now the work, much like the show. must go on without him..

Akira Toriyama, Creator of Beloved ‘Dragon Ball’ Franchise, Dead at 68.

I remember watching Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z when they had the original voices in the US. Preferred them too. But things change,.

This is a sad loss for anime fans everywhere. RIP Mr Toriyama, and thank you for sharing your talents with the rest of us.

It is given current significant increases in life expectancy. Even more so, given that he's Japanese (they have one of the lowest rates of heart disease, which is a primary killer of people in this age range).

I plan to make it at least 30 years longer than that. Just sayin'.

Are you sure the link is valid? I tried replacing the ? with all letters from A-Z and got a Page not Found every time.

It is working, you either didn't try the correct letter or your browser saved the URL with the correct letter but in lowercase and autocorrects it to that. The correct letter is hinted at in the mouseover text of the image.

Thanks for the quick reply! I see what happened, I tested with the basic URL https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/pQMn[LETTER] without the final slash. Adding the slash after the letter works perfectly.

This is indeed sad news. The original Dragon Ball was revolutionary for its time, and quite good.

It is sad news or sure but from what I hear He died march 1st?

Cell games was the best for me.

And wasn't DB Super and such not already made by other people or am I understanding the situation wrong?

Hey.
Dragonball & Dragonball Z are made by Toriyama 100%
Dragonball GT is made by Toei Animation and Toriyama created only characters and locations.
Dragonball super is made by Toei Animation but the basic plot was given by Toriyama ,because most people didnt like the Story of GT .

RIP. The man responsible for so many childhood memories across the globe, probably only trumped by Satoshi Tajiri.

Sad :(
He was involved in so many manga, anime, and games it's just incredible. Definitely one of the most influential people in entertainment. Hopefully he had time before his passing to say goodbye to his loved ones.

I do wonder though how this will affect the products he was working on before his passing. Sand Land looks amazing.

RIP

I never liked DBZ much but the original Dragon Ball and Dr Slump were pretty fun, it's sad to see him go.

Really sad news, I grew up watching Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, I also enjoyed Dr Slump. And he wasn't even that old, I know that it's not rare for manga artists to die relatively young due to stress related complications but still.

Maybe for the better, hes at least not gonna have to see his work being disrespected as many manga and anime creators currently have.
