Hm, for the current bg - 0.20euro, so whatever. Previous one was from crafting badges and that was about 1euro total. So not that bad.
I don't do fancy descriptions & boxes so that didn't take more than 5minutes to do.

I have some badges/emotes/backgrounds/etc. that I use on my profile, but usually I only got those while crafting to raise my level (for booster drops) or to sell rare items, so I don't really put money into it.

i don't think its worth it to keep leveling up past 20 for booster.. (having more games also increases your chances and is cheaper)
unless u want the extra showcase slots

It's not necessarily that economical, but with 3k games (and a good number of those with cards) increasing the chance of getting a pack, even marginally, has pretty big impacts times, oh, 1k games with cards.

I only bought my background for 7 cents or so (and it's really cool). Other then that, I don't spend any time or money on it (I used to create badges, but not anymore and only from money I earned with cards).

Thanks! That sucks man. I have three electric guitars (but no acoustic one), so if one breaks, I still have some back ups (although one of them is really shitty atm. I really need to get it fixed, but I'd rather save up my money for a new guitar).

The only thing I kept whilst harvesting over 6,000 trading cards, etc. is the DOOM steam profile background. I just cannot sell that one.

is this just about Steam Community profiles? my answer to that is yes I have spend time on it, uploading dp, description, featured games, screen shots but that doesn't take too long to do
