First win for me was my 105th.

It really depends on luck. The statistics help in estimates but really just comes down to luck.

Giving is better anyway. The feeling of giving games to the masses feels good enough for me.

If I win a gift? It's a bonus, that's all.

On a heads up, I plan to give away 2 copies of StarDrive tomorrow, and one of either Remember Me or Grid 2.

163 entries is nothing, thats not even a weeks worth of trying (unless you are only entering AAA games like Bioshock infinite) Not everybody wins. Just keep trying.... Its not like it costs you anything to try!

And to answer OP's question, I had my first and only win somewhere after 400+ entries, with my estimated wins being at 0.6, in a GA with 2276 entries (Dungeon Defenders).

I was over 1k before I received my first win. Just keep entering giveaways and eventually you'll win. Its all in the math.

It is normal that with that rate you don't win anything. You'll need to enter at least in more than 600 giveaways to be able to say that you are unlucky. If you only enter in AAA games with more than 2000 entries, it's normal that you don't win on your first 200 entries.

I have a 7.7 estimated wins ratio and I've won 9 giveaways(a couple of them for dev GA with some 15000, so that doesn't count.

BTW my first win was on my frist 2-3 days here xDDD

I won Victoria 2 on my first night. I also won The Ship. Other than that, I've lost 1,001 times.

First of all, it's completely normal not to win anything after 160 entries. The normal ratio if all of your entries are public is, say, once per 400-500 or something.
Second of all, try to be a member of private giveaway groups, that will give you private giveaways with more probability of winning.
Third of all, Try to visit the site more frequently, because some good giveaways last only 1 hour and receive less entries, hence better chance to win the thingie. xD
