Cod 1, 2 and 4.
Cod 1 for obvious reasons, such a cinematic game and all the mechanics where actually new then so the series wasn't milked for cash.
Cod 2 improved on it and I really liked some of the small details that still stay close to my heart. Firstly a desert campaign, I always loved WW2 combat in the Southern region. Secondly the awesome shouting of Germans, really helped to create an atmosphere.
Cod 4 had awesome parts in the single player. Firstly the intro was epic. Secondly the nuke. Thirdly the realistic helicopter shooting scene on ground targets. Still the series was beginning to lose it's pace from here on as some parts of it felt like an arena shooter. Meaning you where stuck in a confined space and simply hordes of enemies where spammed on you. So it slowly became a multiplayer game with a singleplayer extra as they could cash in this way more with less work more or less.

I like my Cod well salted, with a side of rice. It tastes great!
