I still have my coupon for 6,49€/month and after that expires (I think 1-2 months are left, including May), I will cancel for good.
This will probably have two positive outcomes for me personally:

1.) I will finally be able to play the games in my backlog without new games coming in regurarly.
2.) Whenever I really want a game, I will just save money for it, buy it AND enjoy it right away.

Maybe I will miss on historical lows that Choice is going to provide but I will save money in the long run when I just focus on the games I really want rather then just hording them for cheap prices and pay monthly, particularly with the price increase.

Just my two cents!

Someone once suggested that if the quality of games had dropped, it was because publishers were afraid that the keys would then end up on gray sites, and proposed as a solution a single key for all the games in the monthly, whether we already had them or not. I was torn because i would be of those ready to pay a bit more or another solution to secure better games, but given how humble currently operates we would have fewer games + worse games + price increase + a single key, so after thinking... in the end lol.

It's not possible for multiple publishers to merge keys like that afaik. They could have one key per publisher featured in the bundle though.

Wait, then how did those old humble bundles that had one key per tier worked? The games weren't always by the same publisher.

It could also be done by a single developer that used different publishers for each of their games.
That said, games can be merged into a bundle from different developers/publishers that have no relation, but I'm not sure if said bundles are exclusive to the Steam store or if they can be turned into keys (the page doesn't mention them): https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/bundles/collaborative

They were definitely by different publishers AND different developers sometimes. For example this: https://isthereanydeal.com/bundles/52/, I bought it back in the day and it came as one key per tier.

Although most of these examples are pretty old so there's a chance that things might have changed since then.

Usually, when the dam breaks, the rest will follow. I have not checked my emails to see if it affects UK, but I'm certain it will.

I don't pay annually, so I'm good to drop it whenever, although I must admit I've been a loyal customer for 3+ years now.

I can't complain, I got more from each bundle than I would get to pay individually.

My biggest complaint is that this year Humble has stopped giving Bundles of games I want. It seems they are all re-bundled games. I either got everything from it, or barely makes it worth the cost to get 1 out of 8 games from that bundle.

well, I've been paying Humble Choice for way less than it was worth, to be honest. Especially compared to their usual overpriced bundles.
But that was kind of the deal right? no one would buy 6 random games every month unless it was cheap. At a certain price point, it becomes just another Humble Bundle

They pretty much always feature games I'm interested in, for an insanely cheap price. It's kind of amazing that they're able to do that month in month out, and it does make sense that they'd need to raise their prices a little at some point. They're one of the few companies who has somehow avoided doing so up to now.

I prefer even more their thematic bundles, there is often 1 a month now - not the monthly. Recently enjoyed so much the full Armor Games bundle ! And actually still on the amazing HB deckbuilder bundle with Book of hours and Astrea, crazy good !

It's advantageous because often if you like it, there's a chance you'll like all, and if you don't... well, you save money.

Sometimes wondered how they were able to maintain the quality of their other bundles more easily than the monthly, which has deteriorated, as the prices are quite similar.

From my perspective, Humble Choice has consistently offered a great selection up to and including the last one, but I do agree that their more focused bundles offer "if you like one, you'll probably like all of them" type selections. Although I didn't buy the Armor or Deckbuilder ones myself. I think the last one I bought of those was the Microids bundle or maybe the Owlcat one. I don't exactly remember. Usually, the thematic bundles are less in my own wheelhouse than the Choice bundles when it comes to Humble.

From my point of view, there were too many “dark” games in the recent monthlys (Dredge, Control, Trepang, Blasphemous, etc the psychological-survival-lovecraftian-horror something), it's just that i search something more "cozy" (like a colorful deckbuilder... but i liked Book of hours it's an exception), or more technically neutral (city builder, strategy, tactical turn based, etc.) so it's really subjective.

But i would just add, it's good that someone liked it a lot (the recent monthly), i don't despise at all your opinion i think it's good that there is something for everyone ! What's important is that the sum of all different bundles is a win-win situation for everyone : humble, creators, you, me, everyone.

It just seems very risky to do that in the wake of the complaints about the ever increasing out of stock issues and the ninja activation dates limits. When you add to that a 30% price hike, and the fact that most of the keys are available for peanuts on the grey market after a bundle releases, they're begging for trouble.

It sounds like Classic subs will keep paying the same $12 instead of in Euros.

I wonder if that's why I haven't received an email yet. My classic sub has been on pause for months though so that could also be the reason.
Is there an official source confirming that?

It's just some BS price adjustment to make up for the US economy going down the drain. It's not going to get you better games.

How can quality increase when the US price isn't going up? Unless they keep that as a surprise when May bundle drops...

Even with the increased price bundles will continue to have great value if they continue with their discounts/coupons. If not, I may be more selective about which ones I'm buying.

Guess I'll redeem all the keys I have, ask for the "temporarily exhausted keys", threat to sue when they won't sent me the keys and then delete the account

With subscription services the issue is always that at one point the amount of users does not increase no matter what you do with quality. Everyone and their mother has Netflix and everyone who has Xbox most likely has gamepass.

But at same time, shareholders and/or the corpo you are under want increased revenue each year, each quarter. Since you cant just fart out millions of new customers every quarter and people who are subbed are already most likely paying years in row...you increase price for current userbase.

So I wouldnt hold your breath for quality increases. Those are bit subjective anyway. Like this month I thought was banger with Alien and Dredge alone. But lot of people hate strategy games.

yep. Subscriptions were created to sustain capitalism, until they realised every other genius could also create them. Now people can't sustain so many (back to piracy!). That and of course there are only so many people in the world that even thinks of getting one 🤦‍♀️

They should just really have two tiers, because 8 games is probably too many for some. Not everybody has the time to play 8 games per month

If this is true, then RIP humblebundle! And probably RIP bundles.

I loved humblebundle for years, bundles for 1 cent, bundles for 3 cents, bundles for 1$, even bundles oves 5$, but with DRM free versions for various platforms, and keys for various platforms and soundtracks were still cool.

But in current state when all you get is stupid steam key which you have to activate in time or seller steal it back from you and resell like some thief, combined with absudly high bundle prices its not worth of my money. Only little worthy bundle is/was their humble choice.
I still have my unredeemed cheaper annual plan ready, but then what? I cant believe what happened with game prices buring last ten years, steams sales have double or triple prices in "sale" then before and extra valuable bug game packs (20-50 games by publisher) are gone too.

And quality of humblechoice was also very relative. Typicaly if they put something insteresting into choice you can bet that game will appear in at least 5 other bundles in next two months. And usualy there are only games without DLCs. Even 9€ per one humble choice was expensive. I refuse to pay more for older game.
Whats enought, is enought!

Can someone enlighten me on what exactly is IGN+? I read the service description, but they all refer to things I did not know IGN offered. Like map regions, filters and markers? Of what? Where? For me, IGN is a news and reviews site about gaming. I know it's a large corporation, but I can't find information about what IGN starter is supposed to be, or how to use it. Is it an app? Is it only the interactive maps section of the website? (if so, it seems focused on AAA games, which would suck)

I dont believe that there are too many people which keep buying their bundles with average price almost 20€. If they are, then its really bad and greedybundle can continue with ruining all good by their monkey business.
