Same here.
May I suggest you a few things that might help you keep your backlog smaller

I'm just gonna talk for myself because I imagine my case isn't representative of everyone with a bunch of games. As someone who has recently reached 4k games in his steam account I wasn't aiming for that number to grow that much, in fact I kinda promised myself to stop impulsively buying so many games back when I reached 3k a few years ago, it's just that I see a lot of stuff that looks like I'd enjoy playing from the trailer and then I end up not having enough time or will to actually play them. Those large backlogs with impressive numbers are many times just a source of anxiety for their owners, a problem that got out of hand long ago.

I guess many of us started early, when every game was a +1 and there were plenty of bundle sites around, some offering very cheap games. Those days are over now though, and DIG is really the only major holdout (IG isn't as cheap). It was easy to get a huge library for not a whole lot of money back then.

Exactly. I started out when limited games weren't even a thing. Every game gave +1, the average quality of games was a lot higher than today and sites like Groupees were still good. I stopped caring about adding new +1 games a long time ago. But my library was already quite big when all these things happened.
I am still in a Indiegala group buy thing, though. Haven't canceled it yet, because it really doesn't cost much money. It's basically the only thing that's left from my collector days. But I am really lazy when it comes to activating those games. I actually started activating them some months ago, and some of the gift links I still haden't used were 1.5 years old. ^^

The most will NEVER get a +1
Because DIG is a shady shop, with mostly crap games, that get sold, before they reach the DIG store, in shady ru shops.
Nearly none of that games get enough sold on steam, partly because of the unrealistic high price on steam - that animate people to buy such bundles on DIG because "so much worth and i get it for such a low price".
In the end it is "buy crap, get crap".

i can name one game double cross was once in dig bundle now its not limited(correct me if im wrong)

if as you seem to you want to waste money only getting more +1 getting bundles from humble or fanatical are better ways to go

Games don't get +1 from 'becoming approved', games get +1 from selling enough copies and making enough revenue directly through the Steam store. Key sales do not count for that purpose.

I’m genuinely disappointed that you won my giveaway. It’s people like you—who treat others as nothing more than free game dispensers—that make this place worse. Not being able to spare 10 seconds to even type three letters like ‘thx’ is pure scumbag behavior. Goodbye and good riddance.

Oh I understand that, I've had hundreds of people over time not being able to say thanks after winning something from me.
There comes a time when you just have to let it go.
At least in the case of this guy, he hasn't leeched won hundreds of games off people. There are worse offenders around.

why even are you on this website if you consider people who wins your game as leeches? I don't get it.
I used to give away extra keys I got from games I didn't want off bundles, I was much more happy to give it to a random someone than wasting time putting it for sale off a key resell website. I don't even bother to check who won my game to see if it was a bot or not, it's gone regardless and I got my profile points.
also I'm pretty sure the graph of the userbase of this site is a log curve where if you gave away even just 2 games you're in the top 4% of users and 10 games puts you on top 1% (would honestly love to know if there's any public API/graph to see about this) so getting mad at someone who isn't a bot beacuse he didn't drop a comment after winning feels entitled to me. sure it cost nothing to drop a thanks but I'm more worried that they mark my key as received in time and not wait 72+ hours before claiming it so that I have to email them to check if everything is alright In My Opinion.

Wow. if anything I was telling the other guy off for what he was doing and saying about you, you need to learn to read properly. You’ve just proven that you are the person that the original rant was about, go back into your hole.
And enjoy your fresh blacklist.

wow very mature, you know 90% of the entries are bots and they all spam the same message over and over? you'd rather have a fake reply from a bot than actual person interaction (can't blame them if that's how you react when you GIVE UP FOR FREE a game in such a manipulative way. it's a GIVEAWAY site, I've never asked any of my winner to give me back anything I was happy to share my extra keys to whoever won them bot or not)
I hope you can grow out of this toxic mentality

So, to sum it up: expecting basic politeness is immature, entitled and is a "toxic mentality". Have I missed anything?

AndyFrost may be wrong in the way I went about it, but not on what he is feeling. Every interaction requires every party to aport something, a gifter is offering already a giveaway. A thanks after winning or something like that it's not much to ask. He may had a moment of a toxic actitude, but not really of a toxic mentality
.
You many not care less what the winner gets form the giveaways you make, but others want the winner to have at least a bit of a bigger high of winning it than they themselves would had of keeping the key. There are various types of reasons people have to make giveaways on this site, and I hope you can learn to aknowledge others, instead of looking as if you mentality is the only valid one.

Title, do people who buy bulks DIG games ever had them become approved and thus adding +1 to the library or they remain uncategorized forever?
