what do you think about users with scripts and and users who doesn't even care about what giveaway creator has to say?
I remember someone did a same thing when blakclisting appeared and I thought to myself: "hmm, nice idea, I'll do it later too". Still didn't do it..

About who? At least 90%, most likely 95%+ of accounts you linked are lazy people who don't bother reading descriptions or doing anything but clicking "enter giveaway". Those are not bots or scripts. Those are lazy people who don't care what you say. The missing 5% probably uses third-party scripts such as that one who adds enter button next to giveaway, so you don't even have a chance to read the description. I hate those scripts.
How I feel about them? I feel sad, but at the same time I'm not 100% fine with setting up such "traps" for people. I can understand those in invite only giveaways where you expect from people to read to even find the link (that has a point), but public giveaways are composed from majority of people who simply don't bother, so I'm not sure what you tried to achieve, weren't you aware of that?
I find it silly to blacklist people for entering any public giveaway. I totally agree that people SHOULD be reading descriptions (I always do), as sometimes giveaway creator puts important information there (such as game not being able to redeem e.g. in Germany), but still - setting up such "trap giveaways" is a really bad idea, unless you want to blacklist majority of steamgifts community, and in this case, you can just start making invite only giveaways.
I can assure you that even if you blacklist those 500 and make another giveaway, another 500 will pop up, and you'll run out of blacklist pretty fast, not even mentioning time wasted on adding people to that. Why bother, when you have invite only, group, even SGT giveaways?

well as I said , I probably won't blacklist any of them after all ..
like I don't have better things to do than listing out 500+ profiles and putting them all on some list ..
only thing I wanted to check was how many people gives a damn after all , really thought number will be smaller .. but .. :)

From L0? Minority, very very small amount of people. The higher the level, the more people care. You'd get much more satisfying results doing that test on a L4+ giveaway for example.
Blacklisting them has no point, you'll run out of blacklist spots after 2 giveaways, and you won't get even 10% of those lazy people. As I said, I don't like lazy people not bothering with reading description either, I feel like it's my damn obligation to do when entering giveaway, but that's me.

Edit: Sorry, I replied to you instead of Spyrdo. :)
I'd be curious to know the amount of users that entered but can't read English very well. I agree with JustArchi that the amount of people using bots or scripts is way overblown, or at least, I hope it is.

What the flying f are you talking about!? People who don't know English are usually not that much into games, as I know quite a bunch of them (different age groups too). People who somewhat HAVE some kind of a knowledge of English language usually don't dabble in these kinds of things and finally, those who have SOME level of knowledge, are into games and enter these kinds of sites - CAN use Google f-ing Translate, at least! Sure it sounds like Tarzan coming down from a tree for the very first time, but it can give you a general idea of the sentence at the very least.
The other day I entered the GA of a Chinese guy who wrote something in Chinese...
I bothered to check his Steam profile, saw the city where he lives, because there are, as we know, many, many dialects of Chinese and translated it in HIS own dialect and REPLY to him in the same manner.
Now, don't get me wrong, this was not to show off how non-English speakers are being given privileges, but to show that if I could take some of my precious time and at least reply to the guy in his own linguo - those who you defend are not just "uneducated" but lazy, ignorant and offensive in an indirect way.

There are plenty of non-english speaking gamers in the world. Hell, there are plenty of non-english games. Ever hear of the brazilians? The koreans? The chinese? The russians? Oh, and hey, let's not forget the japanese. All huge gamer populations, among which there are non-english speakers. Just because you believe everyone speaks and reads english doesn't make it so.
And let's be real - not everyone is going to break out the google translate to enter a giveaway.

assuming the reply I got is honest, then I think this illustrates part of your point:

I can say from experience that you will get the same result, though to a lesser degree, by doing the same thing via forums. It sucks but that is life :/.

It is weird that peeps defend the lazy or ungrateful like that. Why defend those who cannot be bothered to have the decency to read a bit of text when given the opportunity to win a game? I just don't get it :/.

Rather than them not reading, I have a feeling they just didn't care.

Not sure how accurate your test is because I'm using the Extended Steamgifts userscript which lets you enter giveaways from the mainpage (so you don't need to go to every giveaway's page to enter) which is very convenient. So if I had entered I wouldn't have seen your description. Of course I'm not a bot and I don't use any scripts that automates entries but I would have been possibly blacklisted anyways.
Also does your test count as a fake giveaway?

No, because the description does say that OP will deliver the gift.

as I remember , that script opnes up giveaways in pop-ups , so you can see description (but maybe I'm not right, haven't really used it)
and it wasn't fake giveaway, winner got his key(and he won't even get a blacklist after all , since he was generous also , not just one of the leechers who doesn't give a damn :D )

I think entering a captcha for every giveaway would be a major pain in the ass. I personally don't care if someone uses a bot/script to automatically enter giveaways. It's not like it gives them some advantage to winning the giveaway. If they know the exact games they want and want to automate entries then be my guest.

Fake giveaway is a giveaway in which giveaway creator has no intention of sending the gift, while in that giveaway creator clearly states that he has such intention, even though he'll blacklist everybody who enters. If he does deliver the gift (and he did), then it can't be a fake giveaway.
So no, it's totally legit "trap" giveaway.

I don't know. Don't you think that this is unfair? Several people are using giveaways to promote their stuff (Groups, Projects, Channels, other Agenda, .....). But without opening the giveaway you don't even give them the chance to tell their story. What for? It takes less than 15 seconds to open a tab, look if there is some kind of comment and then enter.
People are giving away games for free, the least one can do is to listen what they have to say. You then still have the chance to ignore it because it isn't your cup of tea. But not even looking at it seems kinda rude to me.

Maybe they don't know English that well? It's not a good excuse either way.
Comment has been collapsed.
the mistake is in even thinking most people will give a damn about being blacklisted, given that there's still the chance to win a free game.
Comment has been collapsed.
for sure, but then that would have to actually happen before most of them even paid attention.

Safe to safe the blacklist experiment is fruitless for the creator.

500 users! Amazing.... But as I read in one comment, maybe there are people who don't understand english. However, I think they are the minority. Thanks for the GA!
Comment has been collapsed.
It's just 500 low level users who simply don't care.

527 going to be blacklist. So who the lucky winner?
Comment has been collapsed.
Well I didn't say anywhere that I'll ask a reroll or sonething because of my "rules" , which isn't allowed . I only said that 'll blacklist anyone who enters , which I can do . Although as I said also and you havn't read , I didn't put anyone on the blacklist :)
Was just testing out how many users don't care
Oh and its for users lvl1+ , meaning those who actually gave something to community and I hoped that if they could do that , that they care a little bit .. but..
:D

As I said on your GA, I hate when people just enter without reading the description. If someone can't take their 30 seconds to read what another user has to say, they don't deserve the chance to win their game, plain and simple. I whitelisted you, by the way. Hopefully that makes up for some of the people who BLed you for this! :D
Thank you for the second chance, by the way! I didn't want to comment on there, then again on here, since that would give you two messages q:

tested those people who use scripts/extensions/bots to join giveaways
and those who don't read descriptions
.. and a lot of you failed :/
I'ill probably end up on tons of blacklists cuz of this ..
it was only a 1 hour giveaway .. and I have 500+ to add on blacklist ;_;
well.. idk will I add em at all , maybe I choose only those with really bad ratios and rule-breakers afterall .. maybe none .. but still ..
what do you think about all this? what are your opinions about them?
