What would a hipster background even be?
You could try the backgrounds for jazzpunk since hipsters originally came from the jazz era, and punks can sometimes be considered hipsters, especially if one's referring to how -punk has become a suffix describing a lot of subcultures, even though it was once a subculture and sometimes still is...I'm gonna stop typing now.

First off bro, using the term "hipster" to describe something defeats the purpose of it. It's like when Atheists consider themselves atheists. How can they be a religion when they are a religion themselves. It's a paradox, as for rare or "underground" profiles.

I think what he's trying to say is that certain terms ought not to be used by the people whom they describe, when the act of doing so is in conflict with the nature of the term.
Hipster is a label used by non-hipsters to describe a particular group of people. For a hipster to use the term would be antithetical, since a hipster--if I understand correctly--does not like labels, especially in association him/herself.
That's my guess, anyway.
