My favorite kind is the ones that Borks, not yips. For reference, I only own one dog and it's a Lab.

My parents breed Golden Retriever before, and we decided to take 3 puppies (one of them is their mother).
Since we own them since they born, they looks different :P

Chow chows and samoyeds. I grew up with a chow, samoyed, plus some chow/samoyed mixed pups. Boxers are a close third for favorites

I had a Labrador, so of course I'm biased.. But, she was the best dog :(.
I got her as a kid, but I wouldn't get a purebred dog anymore, no matter how much I love a certain breed.
Most of them have health issues because of all the inbreeding.
I'd rather have a healthy mutt.
Of course I'd like the mutt to be part retriever ;)

I meant most breeds have health issues, not most dogs.
Although, within breeds with those smashed-in faces for example, it probably is most dogs.
They inherently can't even breathe properly.
Also, no matter how much of a reputable breeder you are, you can't guarantee a dog won't have issues.
As long as they're bred to look a certain way, there will be issues that come with it.

Pugs are indeed cute in that "so ugly they're cute" kind of way but yeah, the fact that they can't breathe is just, ugh, thanks for making this creature suffer unnecessarily, humanity.

The only dog I could have is Czechoslovakian Wolfdog. I've even seen an ad where you could adopt one for free but unfortunately we have a cat already that doesn't tolerate any other animals :/

Alaskan Malamute. Good reason to go out for walks, leaving him by himself is not a good option :P
I like the Serra da Estrela breed, big herd-guarding dogs in general are loyal and fearless, just not a family dog.

Off-topic, slightly controversial, but related to one of the poll answers:
Is gender a social construct? I try to be as enlightened as possible and I see no reason someone shouldn't be able to switch genders if they feel like that's what they need to do. But I don't know about gender being a social construct. It's biological.

I've fallen in love with Chow Chows all of a sudden and I want to know your favorite breed of dog.
