I think my old one is like a s5 or something so I dont think that is the problem. The problem is maybe if the steam guard gets a cool down or something maybe? If I have it on my main phone, then switch it to my old phone, root the old phone, fix the ASF and then change it back to my regular phone.
Or maybe I'm thinking totally wrong. I dont know know :(

Pretty sure your authenticator you imported wont work if you disable it on old phone and then activate it on the new one again.

I linked authenticator in SDA/WinAuth, then imported to ASF. Can I now delink it and link it again on my phone?
No. ASF imports your authenticator data in order to use it. If you delink your authenticator then you'll also cause ASF 2FA to stop functioning, regardless if you remove it firstly like stated in above question or not. If you want to use your authenticator on both your phone and ASF (plus optionally in SDA/WinAuth), then you'll need to import your authenticator from your phone, and not create new one in SDA/WinAuth. You can have only one linked authenticator, that's why ASF imports that authenticator and its data in order to use it as ASF 2FA - it's the same authenticator, just existing in two places. If you decide to delink your mobile authenticator credentials - regardless in which way, ASF 2FA will stop working, as previously copied mobile authenticator credentials will no longer be valid. In order to use ASF 2FA together with authenticator on your phone, you must import it from Android/iOS, which is described above.

If you need it on your phone at all? then yes. You cant delink your authenticator and create a new one, and still have the old one working. If you dont need it on phone. Just use WinAuth or SteamDesktopAuthenticator and you can also import into ASF so you can create tokens there.

Not sure, maybe.
And if you need token to login you also get the code from WinAuth. You can also accept 2FA confirmations with ASF if you import it.

If you import from phone you can create tokens from phone, from winauth and even with ASF if you import it into that.
But you mentioned rooting an old phone? Isnt the point in also being able to create tokens on phone if you want to be able to use it outside of your home? Are you going to carry around two phones? :)

So...!
I have something on my mind.
I am currently using ASF and I want my main account to be able to autoaccept trades etc with ASF, and for that I need to root my phone so I can get the files/lines for it to work with WinAuth.
But I am a little bit scared to do it so my question is, what can happen? Can I get a old phone to work and root that but how does it work with Steam Guard? Change back and forth I mean.
Any suggestions how to fix this problem?
Thanks
