What do you think?
First scene, horizon is tilted. Second (train) too much shaking, should have used a tripod. Moving scenes are too fast for enjoyment and detail sighting. Focus also shifts too fast for any sort of touristic/promo use. Too much flower scenes. Too many scenes recorded out of hand without stabilization. Too fast panoramic pans.... The entire video is okay for an amateur use, but it screams of "I know how to switch focus" instead of "this is a town worth visiting".
Of course, under assumption it was meant to be promo video for a town (which I got from your intro text). Generally, it lacks an idea that it would follow. A theme so to say.

Thank you:)
He's a photographer (still as a hobby, but for a long time now), it's the first time he made a video like these, thank you for explaining:)

The camera is either shaking enough to cause nausea, or it's zipping around with terrible pacing..
..
OMIGOSH STOP SHAKING ALREADY.
No, but really. It's hard to review anything else in the film when the camerawork is that poor. That said, from what little I could make out past the camerwork kicking my brain around, I'll have to agree with NB- there doesn't seem to be much theme development or efforts toward conceptual transitioning. In other words, it seems like a lot of nice stills randomly stuck together, and then animated by the camerawork of a drunken, hyperactive monkey that refuses to pay attention to anything but an off-screen banana. If that description seems over-enthusiastic, do note that usually bad camerawork is limited to something like this. The video you linked is far, far, far worse in its camerawork (and also doesn't benefit from having an adorable tyke to help sell it). High definition imagery should be the last consideration, not the first- foremost, as with the video I just linked, you want to emphasize camera stability and an appealing theme.

not to bad, i didn't notice too many shaky points, however when panning around from side to side it did have a jerky move, stop, move, stop, vibe too it. (need to work on a smoother panning hand / or possibly grease the rotation bearing on pod) also i think i could of gone for a few more higher action scenes, like the kayakers or vehicle speed up shots. beautiful scenery though. ^^
edit: it also could go for some night shots.. such a nice area i'm sure has got to be just as beautiful at night. xD

Since I'm working sometimes remotely for Győr, I was highly interested to take a look at it. So thanks for that.
I'm not into photographs or filming, therefore I can't criticize it well, but like the others already mentioned: the cam is partially moving too fast, and the nature scenes were nice in the beginning, but overall there were too many. Also for people not knowing anything about the town, names of the buildings, rivers etc. would be great (either in the video itself or at least in the description) to improve remembering and looking up on things.

The others have already said the reasons, but it's pretty much average.

Hi everyone,
I'm not really an active user on the forum, i just read it, but rarely made a new thread, this time is different...
My best friend (let's call him Jack) made a small video/timelapse of his town, Győr, in Hungary, the main theme of the video is spring and water (the city is also know as "City of Rivers"). The shots where made by him and hes friend (we call him Alfred), the render entirely by Jack.
I think he made a really good job, but since e showed the video to his friend, Alfred only critizising his work, but never tells him what is really wrong, i don't think this is good, it's fine to tell someone if you don't like something, but just a "no" is worthless.
So, i'm asking the SG community...what do you think of this short clip? Every opinion is aprecciated, good or bad doesn't matter, just explain it if you can, please.
Thank you :)
