Well I still think the information from the wishlist might not show the actual desires of those people even the ones that got scoped. Furthermore the second suggestion of the giveaway of the month / week could in fact bring more of those top listed games to our giveaways ^^

So my suggestion is the creation of a giveaway poll in order for members to vote on the games they would want to see in giveaways the most.
I know this might be seen as useless due to the steam wishlist however personally I think the wishlist is not that much used by most people (might be wrong on this one) and furthermore it tends to get outdated frequently in terms of people's actual desires.
Such a poll thread would make things more friendly and easier to use by incorporating these opinions on the site. It could be opened regularly, say once per month and people could vote in any game from the giveaways list. In the end the most voted game could be turned in the giveaway of the month and every giveaway of that title would reward the gfter with double or three times its normal points in order to stimulate the existance of more of those giveaways.
Personally I have had my eyes on Gmod for a while, but due to budget cuts I haven't been able to get it yet :P however I rarely see that title being given away in the site. This could help bringing some of those games that people actually want but are not very frequent here more often.
Thanks in advance for any feedback
Cheers
