Made no difference for me. I'm still sitting around 2.0MB/s which is pathetic as I usually get 12-15MB/s with most downloads.

I'm sure that the problem is yours, or at least, with the route from the CDN to your pc. I have absolutely no problem with it.

If people are getting better rates right now, then it's a routing issue. I just finished my download and am patching now, and went to download something else and it's coming down at about 14MB/s so it's not me. I only saw Star citizen peak over 3MB/s once or twice, mostly hanging around 2.2MB/s for the duration. It's pretty easy to blame the company that has overpromised everything, and failed to deliver anything on schedule or to spec as promised. They've done nothing but fail so far, why change now?

  • First, you downloading something else normally doesn't negate that there may be some problem between you and the CDN. It kind of actually proves it.
    • If thousands of people download it OK and just a bunch have problems with the downloads (probably because of geographical issues), I fail to see how it's any different from any other game. And yes, you can throw the "but X game/service works fine with me) argument. It's purely geographical.
    • I leave now, because it seems you're pretty comfy in the "this game will suck, despite being only pre-alpha and despite most people who tried the modules actually like them" bandwagon. Good luck with that.
