Tell him what happened maybe? Anyways him mailing you right away seems SUPER fishy! Who does that, really? I never have and never had anyone do it to me when selling stuff.
Wait it out, don't send the Wii.

you dont send anything until a payment clears. you should state this to the buyer that his payment hasnt cleared yet. you dont have to mention anything else. if its Ebay then, they understand all of this & will tell you the exact same thing.
when dealing with Ebay always remember to mention this in your auctions. its common sense but people still try to be shifty about it. Paypal & Ebay work together on these things. them not using Ebay as a source of communication is an obvious sign that they are trying to hustle you. you can also send pictures of what communication is being sent if a case needs to be built against the buyer.

As everyone said only send the product if the payment is cleared.
Also, contact eBay/PayPal to see if you're protected in case the buyer issues a chargeback.

Ok for all of you saying, "wait until the payment is cleared," oftentimes it is completely clear and in your Paypal account. Even if you move the money out of it and it is in your bank account, if the payment is determined to be fraudulent, then it can leave you with a negative Paypal balance. I would try to get into contact with the buyer... if they have few feedback or spread out feedback (haven't had one in a while) I would start to get worried. I might even just try to cancel the transaction at this point. There is always a risk with selling on eBay. Paypal decides the case in the buyers' favor oftentimes, especially if you do not have a tracking number or if you sent internationally without a valid tracking number.

Also, it's possible PayPal is just being PayPal. Probably something fishy with the buyer, but PayPal is just godawful. I haven't used them for a LONG, long time because they just don't give a rip. They'll tie up your honest money on a whim.
Either way, best of luck and I hope it gets resolved quickly.

I just sold a Wii on eBay, and the payment from the buyer has been flagged as potentially fraudulent. They said they'll reach a decision within 24-48 hours, and even then the money will still be held for up to 21 days. The buyer contacted me withi minutes wanting to know when I was going to ship the item.
It all seems very fishy, but I've never had this happen before. Should I be worried?
