I've always been curious about why only some dogs seem to pay any attention to the TV, my theory is that it has something to do with how TV's are based around red+green+blue (how our eyes function) while dogs' eyesight is blue+yellow (if I'm not misremembering it) so maybe the image looks washed out to them.

My dog only does that when dogs are on the telly, but he really gets excited about it.
