I think people who own the base game got a free upgrade to the new one anyway when they converted the game to Steamworks awhile back? Not 100% sure but try Googling it.
Not sure about that. But if this is indeed the old one, I would gladly join since a) it's removed, b) it's expensive to get anywhere, c) you can own both versions :)
Isn't it just the same exact game minus the DLC though? If one already owns the GOTY edition I don't see the point other than adding a +1 to one's library, which seems like a waste.
I don't know if it means anything, but when I click on the game logo here on the upper left it actually redirects to the GOTY edition despite having a different app id #
edit: post about the free upgrade (also applies to Arkham Asylum it seems)
Well, I don't own the old edition that's the problem. :) And as a game collector I would very much love that extra +1. Especially since I also like more removed games, especially especially if they are great games! :) Plus you can get all achievements x 2.
So for me it wouldn't be a waste. ^^
It is the Batman:Arkham City which is the original one that got released in the first place and cannot be purchased since it already got replaced by GOTY Edition.
So.. the original one exists. it just cannot be purchased from the store :D
