Heh, just chose a color that I found pleasing and used the solid color option on Windows background settings. Saved it as a picture too to use as my avatar. Most probably think it's black since the avatar here is surrounded by all that white, but it's dark green.

there ya go. i like street art, i like to go against the man and this was a predominantly black wallpaper which i favor. before this i used some animated wallpapers with moving planets and stuff but there are too much hassle as they constantly stop after apps going fullscreen and stuff. it's called dreamscene if you want to check it out and you have to pull some simple strings to get windows to allow them to work (didn't try in other OS')
PS: i use a clean version of that pic so not the one from that link i can send it to you if need be.
The only wallpaper I use is the same as my avatar.
