I hereby declare November to be Delta Force Month!
For this third Sunday, we get something different: an expansion pack. Do not worry, it is a standalone one with its own storyline, but using the Land Warrior game engine (bye-bye voxels, hello polygons!). It was the first game that used an actual then-current ongoing conflict, the US incursion in Afghanistan.
Considering nowadays all shooters are either going back to the World Wars or use a made-up conflict with some eeeeeeeevil PMC, it may be strange to go back to a game where you may still be a generic white dude with a mission to kill a lot of purposefully non-white dudes screaming "Allahu akbar", but at least it is devoid of such wonderful things as collectibles, chest-high walls for cover, or magical regenerating health.

Oooh, didn't know the first games in the series were voxel-based.
Thanks for the giveaway!

Delta Force: Land Warrior was the only DF game I played. That was such a long time ago, but I still remember some levels vaguely. I really liked that game, played it a lot.
They don't make games like these anymore :/

I liked the Delta Force Games back when i was young, but never had the money to buy them, so i had to play it from friends that were richer....
