There are tons but if she doesnt like open words it really takes of like 80% of the ones I thought of. Serius Sam is the more awesome shooter saga I can think of, but doesnt have much of a story. Maybe Dead Space, Hitman, or maybe Call of Duty? The best telltale game is Back to the Future! (I'm a bttf fanboy, so that might have influenced me on saying that).

From how you say it it looks like she just likes games on rails that require little thinking (which is ok to me, no judging), as long as the story is entertaning.

What about a first person story game with no shooting? She might like Gone Home which is set in the 90's from a girl's point of view.

It seems she likes the linear type where you don't have the option of roaming much.
So Deus Ex is out of the question.

1. How about no shooting and just storyline; like the Amnesia series, or Dear Esther?
2. Cryostasis is a very linear game. Didn't like it because of that.
3. Crysis is my all time favorite right alongside HL2 (which she said is her fav.), and F.E.A.R 1 (not 2 or 3, just the 1st).
4. How about a linear OTS like Dead Space? But guessing if she didn't like Metro 2033, this could be a bad choice. Mass Effect?

But really I can't emphasize FEAR 1 and Crysis enough above anything else. They are masterpieces like HL2.
