The Arctis Gaming Headset series from Steelseries is really good, I highly recommend them.

I see a few people mentioning Hyper X.. I'd take an Arctis headset over a Hyper X any day of the week.

I am excited about my Arctis as well (got the 5's) but I have seen and heard from a fair amount of people that their ears touch the drivers (or at least, the fabric of the earpads that's in front of the drivers) which bothered them, so that's a thing to keep in mind. I don't have that problem, even with one ear having helix piercings that stick out a bit, but I also went for the leather pads instead of keeping the standard AirWeave ones.
Also, I just typed all that and then read it's for a kid. Arctis might be a bit too big then

I totally went over the budget with my recommendation so I guess any Arctic would be out of the question.

For around $40 the HyperX Cloud Stinger is probably the best you can get. It's a really solid headset.

If you can go $50 get the Steelseries Arctis 1.

HyperX headsets are super good. I was going to buy a Cloud Stinger myself, but a friend gave me a Corsair HS50, which I really like as well. Bass is really good, fits super well on my head and the mic is perfect (which is super important to me).
However, I think one of the best headsets out there are the Logitech G430 series. I wanted one of those the most, but they were hard to find/expensive here in Brazil. I think they fit your budget tho.

I'm using Steelseries Arctic 7for more than a year https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-7 They are good, and it cost me around £100 when I bought them. They are not too tight on the head, great sound, and if you wear glasses, the headset is still very comfortable.

i use cheap headphone (that come gifted with mobile),and then add to it the "ears protector" 3m Peltor Optime III , personally i'm happy ¯_(ツ)_/¯ , i know that this config is not best for gaming but it work well for me.

Hi
Merry Christmas everyone, hope all in your family are safe!
My son (9yrs old) wants a new headset for his Xbox one - he says the Mic is playing up. He plays mostly Fortnite for reference. Budget wise looking at the £30-£40 range as he doesn't particularly look after them well but he is buying them with his own money.
At the moment i am looking at:
Turtle Beach 70X - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07NR2TJP9/
They get good reviews (a lot of reviews) and are only £25...perfect, but have also found some real nasty reviews on them on Reddit.
Anyone used these? Anyone got any other recommendations in this price range?
Cheers for your help :)
