I'm trying to promote my new Steam Group and what better way than to give you all some FREE GAMES :)

I hope I'm doing this right but I created a giveaway as long as you're in the AMMOGO Group you should be able to see it on the giveaways page. If not I can whitelist you as well.

You're doing it wrong.

This post should direct people to your SteamGifts giveaway rather than directing them to another website they need to visit to eventually get the URL for the SteamGifts giveaway. See my detailed explanation, here.

There is one link on this page, and it goes....(surprise)...to another site. To join your giveaway, people need to be in the group, which is done by...you guessed it...going to another site. Therein lies the problem.

If you read through those postings, you will see two basic approaches:

Talking about the group and its use of SG without including any direct links to another site.
Talking about the group with links to both a group page AND SG giveaways.

Both options promote SG, even if that promotion is indirect. Your group does use SG to give games away, and that is fine, but there is no promotion of SG in your post. As your Steam group is not SG-focused, your post needs something more. I suggest you add a link to your giveaway(s) here on SG.

Thanks for helping me understand it better Khalaq, makes a lot more sense now when you put it that way. Made some edits and added my other giveaways on SG.
