Problem with key

Heyu,guyz!

I won a giveaway, but the key is not working... The steam client says to me that the key is for an Unknown application and it was added to my library,but the "unknown application", nor the game itself,does not appear in the library.
Also, when I try to activate the key again,it says to me that is already assigned to my account.
How can I send a message to the contributor,because I don't want to report him,I believe is not really his fault,and seems that he already sent almost 10 games until now... ?
Or can you guys advise what to do,regarding this matter?

Did you check your account history, to see what has been added?

You can click the GA creator's Steamgifts profile and you will see a link to his Steam profile - that's how you can contact him.

OK. Time to go deep.
I like to have you run a command in your Steam client console.

  1. Open the following URL in your browser.

steam://nav/console

This should give another tab in your steam client called 'Console'.

  1. Type the following command in your Steam console:

licenses_print

Please right click. And choose "Select all" then choose "Copy".
Post this info please on a Pastebin or somewhere it can be watched.

OR find the right date and time this key was added and post those 4 rules.

looks like it doesn't work on 100%, I have UntitledApp for Beta Testing, but there are many, maybe like 80% licenses are missing if I try to find them by date or ID (SubID or AppID)

Unfortunately the steam console can only show about 1000 lines (about 300 games).
Any info more then that is scrolled off on the top and can't be seen.

A workaround is to use the Steam server client.

You could use these instructions to check what App / Sub has been added.

Edit: beaten by 2 minutes because of fiddling around with it myself :D

compare your list of licenses on steam with list of games in library and filter it out and you'll find the last that matches the UnknownApp

Should be a date with it. So maybe easier to look for the matching date first.

Came out as: Unknown App.

Must be a Steam bug or something. Did you try to log out, exit out of steam, and log back in again?

there are plenty of Unknown Apps, not exactly bug, just filter out your library list with license list.

if you mean to compare the library with the license list, i recognize all the games in the library. Nothing new,nothing missing.

Thank you. This seems to match the name you got on your account info.

There is very little info available on this app.

They key originated from a Romanian store.
It's has a registration from about 1 year ago and there doesn't seem to be a publicly available game attached to it.
This is not a bug by Steam. The problem is with the key. This is not a key for the game you won.

In short. This is a bad key that doesn't give you FootLOL (or any other game).
Best action is to contact the giver and inform him he did not provide a working key. If he doesn't offer a working one, then mark it as not received.

Just add him and see if it was a error on the vendors end and till then mark unreceived. Had same issue with star wolves 2 and sadly the gifter never was able to fix it but I just ended up buying it from Tremor Games. Well Good luck to you intunerkuss and hope it was only he gave you the wrong key.
