DayZ Alpha is coming in 3 days. I feel very happy about this. I played the Mod for Arma II for days. Are you also so glad its coming so soon? Thats because I made a group in Steam i would be happy if you join there. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/dayzwelive

Afaik, they'll be using the Minecraft pricing scheme. Alpha version will cost the least amount, Beta will cost slightly more and the final version will cost the most. I doubt it'll be $10 to start with, something like $15 is realistic though.

I heard of a 18 EUro/25$ cost for alpha.
But that's a rumor.

But it won't be extremely cheap...Dean knows that a lot of people will buy it,so it won't be 10$

You misinterpreted what was said; Rocket said it was an unspecified week they were aiming to release it, not within a week. My money would be during Steam sales so that a situation where the whole population that uses Steam rushes to the few servers that are up, crippling them, doesn't happen.

I saw the video from the E3 and in the city i see that the low fps is still there, and i think they got a nice pc for the E3 to show the game, is really frustrating to play like that, hope they fix the problem before the launch.
But yeah can't wait to play with my friends :D

The Arma 3 Alpha had really low FPS on all computers, but when it went to Beta, the performance increased a lot. I'm expecting to see the same thing with DayZ standalone.

They have great ideas,but it will take ONE or TWO years to do them all...
And until then there will be much better games.

Arma 2 Chernarus does have some traintracks and prop trains, so maybe DayZ will have working trains... that would be awesome. I don't know anything about Oculus Rift support for DayZ.

I'll play the Alpha just to see if it runs on my computer properly. Then I'll choose to buy it or not. I just bought Arma 2 CO though. But I haven't even been playing DayZ, I mostly play it so I can fly helicopters around and try not to crash them in the first 2 minutes.

The DayZ standalone will follow the Minecraft buisness model, so you will have to pay to play in the alpha.

Well if you didnt like the mod just becouse of the inventory, dont worry from what i see they fixed the inventory in the standalone and now it's a LOT better.
