Your removal from a group has been handled by an admin that has been removed from their position since then and from a quick look from me right now at your playtime it looks like to me that it is very possible you shouldn't have been kicked out in the first place. Is your recording of your playtime available somewhere online for me to see and make a better decision on it?

Hi HashOneM8, your games were (and still are) set to private on Steam which is against the group rules and since you weren't online on SG for 2 years at that point I assumed the chance of your returning were pretty slim so I removed you from the group. If you set your games and playtime to public you can rejoin no problem at all!

For the reason that RePlayBe said it has to be 100% public and there is no way around it. There is way too many people, way too many giveaways and I don't have the time or the will to go chase people around to get their playtimes when we have a system that works incredibly well setup already.

Hi ExcelElmira, I would normally say "no, you have gotten your answer back then", but you seem to have a good track record with other groups so I am ok with changing my mind in this situation. But please do play The Evil Within because I did not actually vet and check the games you tried to apply with back then so I can not verify that it wasn't played before requesting to join and so on.

I read the FAQ but didn't see this exactly answered: if I'm in TalePlay (have been for a little while), and also PA, do I need to finish the game in 1 month (PA) or 3 months (TalePlay)? A ton of the games are cross listed. Just trying to make sure.

I think if you're in two groups, the group with the least amount of time is taken into account. But supposedly it shouldn't apply to previous TalePlay wins.

The rules (or rather, the FAQ) say that if the GA is shared in other groups and you're in these groups, then rules of PA don't apply to you if you win.
So if the GA is also in TalePlay and you're in TalePlay, the rules of PA don't apply and therefore you have 3 months to play (according to TalePlay rules).
At least that's my interpretation.

I don't know the rules of TalePlay specifically as I am not a member, but as far as PA is concerned if you are a member of another group and are eligible to enter via that group you don't have to play it as you would be able to enter and win that game regardless of being a PA member

Can I create giveaways for the group and share them with other groups and/or with my whitelist?
Of course, we like to see giveaway creators having maximal freedom and members who like to play games optimal chances. Shared giveaways are therefore welcomed. If the winner is a member of one of the other groups you've included or is a member of your whitelist, we won't enforce the group rules (as it would be pointless for next time, they will still be able to enter via the other groups or your whitelist). We'd ask you to include a clear clarification in the giveaway description if you include many groups, so members that could only enter via Playing Appreciated know they will have to play it. A possible text would be: “This giveaway is shared with the Playing Appreciated group. If you win it via this group you are expected to play this game within a month.”.

Just BTW, TalePlay rules are "the opposite". If you're a member of TalePlay and you win a giveaway that is shared in the TalePlay group, you have to play it, regarless of membership in other groups or whitelist.

A few things:
- PA has website support for tracking and Taleplay doesn't. Where a game is on both Taleplay and PA, it's probably easier to complete it on PA time (noting that at some point PA stops updating stats even if you play/achieve more)
- PA is not Playing Matters. Although it's good to, by group rules you don't necessarily need to finish every game (or even any game), just meet/exceed minimum playtime and achievements
- Taleplay is a bit more loosey-goosey about requirements. Unless completion or something else is specified in the GA, then "You don't have to complete it, but we'd be happy if you'd at least attempt to beat the main campaign. If it doesn't have a campaign or story, play a significant amount of time to kinda cover 25-50% of the Achievements. If some games don't have achievements, screenshots are required for rolling credits."

Thanks! Having all three compared in one spot is pretty handy. Generally, if it's a TalePlay game I've won in the past, I try to get to it right away, so it shouldn't hopefully come up too often, for games in both groups. And I try not to enter games I don't think I can make a good effort on.
I play almost exclusively on my Steam Deck, which shows me time and achievements as I go, pretty up front. The only caveat is I have to be careful I have stable network when I play these games when I wait to pick up my kid from school! One side of the parking lot has network, and the other side doesn't.

Introduction
Playing Appreciated is a group for members that like to play games they win and for giveaway creators that like to see their games getting played. This sounds simple, yet requires commitment and dedication from members by filtering out games they like to play from all group giveaways and when won playing those within one month. In return members will get higher chances of winning games they want and creators will know their giveaways have a high chance of getting played.
