Well... I did repent for my previous sins on sg (won the same doc more than once). If that doesn't hinder my entry, I am committed to play most of my wins. My blaeo profile might support my cause here.
This month as part of pagywosg I already did 1 of my recent wins (ghostunner 2). (A second game, mago, will be finished tomorrow ).
For the entry requirement 1, I will play getsufumaden up to the end of the month.

Hi meneldur, I am afraid those multiple wins indeed disqualify you from being able to join, sorry.
I was surprised you could even participate in PAGYWOSG, but apparently Sam got rid of the "no multiple wins or VAC bans" rule for some reason.
Comment has been collapsed.
Sam and I actually spoke about it... Since that happened over 10 years ago. The same applied for PoP. Else I wouldn't be on both groups.
And all good about disqualifying me. It is a rule and when there is room for discussion, it can lead to a lot of work because one has to check every exception.
No worries :)
edit: corrected my second paragraph

When I was more active on SG I got him to talk with Sam about the posibility of making an exception to that rule. He won the game Revita from me and after a while I think he said something on the giveaway page about having enjoyed the game, I checked is time on the game and was over 100 hours. I suggested participating on PAGYWOSG and he pointed this exact issue.
I'm telling you this because I'd like to bouch for his commitment to playing his wins. Probably that changes nothing but I just wanted to point it out.

It is not personal, it is just a can of worms I really don't wanna open. I get that it sucks tho.

Hi there. I'd like to join, I'm proposing to play Viscera Cleanup Detail which I won in 2016 (oh wow, it was that long ago?!?) but never played.
I used to enter for anything that looked vaguely interesting but changed to only enter for things I'd play right there and then a few years ago, so this group is a logical one for me to ask to join. I've also recently plowed through a few years of unclaimed Humble Monthly pages and figure I should do something with those rather than let them rot in a spreadsheet, but rather than joining by doing a giveaway I'd stick with the spirit of the group and do it by playing a neglected win.

HI ACorpse, you are welcome to join by playing Viscera Cleanup Detail, let me know once you beat the game and enjoy! I hope you find it a relaxing time. I would suggest watching something on a 2nd monitor if you got one while playing it out of my own experience with the spinoffs :)

Hello, I would like to join the group using the Option 2 -> The game i would like to create the giveaway is Legend of Keepers: Career of a Dungeon Manager. I won this game on a GA here and played like for 4 hours in a row, it was insane, hope to give the winner of the GA the same feeling i had

Hi, I would like to join with Option 2.
The first giveaway will be for Dome Keeper, because it is a great game and I want more people to experience it 🍀
And perhaps few copies of Deadlink

Just out of curiosity if it's okay, may I know why?

You fail on this part:
Make sure you are not violating any SteamGifts rules;

I presume that you refer to my 2 multiple wins on the free Soundtrack DLC for PAYDAY2, which was 10 years ago.
Welp.. guess that's on me, I sync with Steam often, but I had to hide all giveaways for that DLC at that time.
How unfortunate, and I’m guessing there are no exceptions.
Regardless, thanks for clarifying—if that’s the real reason🍺

Yep, that is exactly it. And yea, no exceptions sorry, you are not the only one who has had this issue.

I really like the idea of this group, and in fact have played every game I've won on steam gifts (all 2!) but I can't really commit to playing half a game I don't like, and there's always a risk of that with any steam gift. Is there another group out there with somewhat less stringent requirements? Ie I'd be happy to commit to TRYING each game for 30 minutes.
Comment has been collapsed.
Hi xeos23, I don't know of any "play your games" groups that would be happy with just 30 minutes played unless it is a short game, sorry. Honestly to me as a group owner having something like that seems way too abusable (I am not saying you would, but I been doing this for long enough to know how people are).
Comment has been collapsed.
I agree it's open to abuse, idling etc. But 30 minutes is way more stringent than the base steamgifts requirements where people don't even need to install the game they win. To me requiring 30 minutes seems like an improvement over that, though I don't have your benefit of perspective. I don't mind a few cheaters so long as the majority are adhering to the intent, but perhaps from where you sit it seems likely that the ratio would be reversed?
To be clear I'm 100% not suggesting this group should have different requirements - I respect folks who are willing to make the commitment you guys require.

Oh that is for sure. Anything is better than what goes on in public giveaways. There is a very good reason why I don't make those anymore at all. And I know I am not perfect either when it comes to it, but at least I try which is sadly more than can be said about most users :/

Hmmmm no, probably not, but hard to say for sure as I only have experience with public or quite restrictive groups, I don't actually have any proper idea what the middle ground would look like. And in the end of the day it would almost 100% be better than public giveaways. What would be for sure tho it would be a massive amounts of work most likely.
To be clear I'm 100% not suggesting this group should have different requirements
Oh, no, I didn't think that at all. I was just trying to say why I don't think you are really gonna find a group where a rule like that would be the case.
Also as a completely random fun fact (I know noone asked, I just got curious while typing this comment), 97,5% (out of ~1300 that are either marked as approved or rejected, there is about 100 still pending from the last month) of all group giveaways made in the last year in this group have been played up to the group rules. I am not gonna go look at the public ones because that would be depressing.
Comment has been collapsed.
You could consider joining and just be very particular about what you enter. Surely you must know from looking at trailers and gameplay, some games you can be sure to devote 5+ hours to. If you aren't certain - don't enter that one!
It is a far higher bar than public giveaways. But as MouseWithBeer said, there are many members and they abide by the rules.
Comment has been collapsed.
It's more than 5 hours though, isn't it? You have to "finish" the game. I agree being selective is a good policy; I do that now in the unlucky-7 group I'm currently eligible to be in.
But... I've also paid good money for games only to realize they weren't what I expected or didn't hold up so well after the first hour, etc. That's my concern and reason for not joining. Even being selective that's a real risk, I think. Maybe it's just me; I have zero tolerance for pushing thru a game once it stops being fun.

Hi Ignition365, you are welcome to join with option 2. Join request approved, welcome to the group! Please make the giveaway as soon as you can.

Hi Ignition365, thank you very much for the giveaway you made however there is a small problem with it. The giveaway you make to join with option 2 needs to be exclusively for the PA group and can not be shared with other groups or WL. After that one is completed if you decide to make any more giveaways for the group in the future you can share it with WL or any other groups as you wish no problem.
Could you please remake the giveaway correctly?
Comment has been collapsed.
Ah, sorry, I must have missed the part about the first one being exclusive. Recreated both and will probably add more later.
If it helps, I started and finished Bots are Stupid yesterday lol

No worries at all! Thank you very much for recreating them :)

Hi seboleq97, you are welcome to join with option 2. Please request to join on Steam here and I will approve it as soon as I see it.
As for the region restrictions, I think the best way to go about it is if you know where the key is from (which bundle) check the corresponding giveaway thread for it on SG. Usually it should have at least some info about it there. When it comes to the group, there is no rules regarding region restrictions, so it is not a problem if it is not a WW key.

Join request approved, welcome to the group! No time frame restriction but as Matwyn said it needs to have a winner. 1-2 days should be plenty for that :)

Hi kornobi, you are welcome to join with option 1 however
Showing your commitment by playing a previous won game on SteamGifts that you did not yet play.
therefore Letters does not count. Since you don't have any unplayed wins you can pick any unplayed wins (as long as not too short and has achievements) from your Steam library instead. Or join with option 1. Let me know :)

Alright, When The Past Was Around should be file. Let me know once you beat the game and enjoy!

Introduction
Playing Appreciated is a group for members that like to play games they win and for giveaway creators that like to see their games getting played. This sounds simple, yet requires commitment and dedication from members by filtering out games they like to play from all group giveaways and when won playing those within one month. In return members will get higher chances of winning games they want and creators will know their giveaways have a high chance of getting played. The group has more than 1000 members and over 25000 historical giveaways.
