[Deal] Quake 1 "enhanced version" (~70% off)

I didnt own it on steam but got a copy from indiegala a few mins ago installed it and enhanced version up and running.

Afaik the new version includes all dlc even if you previously only owned the base game

So there is no way to play the old version for those who owned it?

I tried to buy QUAKE on Indiegala, but it was no longer available.

Quake doesn't need an enhanced version!

I run thru my mind... I know I have Quakes somewhere...... Oh Yes, I have those in Bethesda Launcher, they gave Q1/2/3 Free last year.
So, most likely ReMastered versions will come there too, at some day...?

Someone like Night Dive needs to get the rights to Malice for Quake. That's a really good total conversion. Great soundtrack too.

It did not say in descriprion, but I got Quake 4 aswell.

Achievements are a cool addition, one more reason to play again.

Great game and runs sweeter than the original version (which ran amazeballs anyway). Achievements make it tempting to run through again after all these years. Splitscreen? wow.

Looks like Bethesda has promptly killed all Quake Collection sales ahead of their expiration dates, and removed Quake Collection from the store.

"Previous owners of Quake on Steam will automatically receive the new version with a free download. It may already be updated by the time you read this! Additionally, if you didn't own Scourge of Armagon and Dissolution of Eternity on Steam, you will also be granted access to the original versions of those in-game"

=> This means if you only have the original Quake 1 in library before, now with this update you will be given both 2 delisted expansions of Quake 1 for free, right ?

Game is now over 100gb?

Also dont forget to grab Quake64 for free from the addons menu!

The game also has remote play function and it does work - you can play split-screen up to 4 players.
I guess steam still doesn't support remote keyboard+mouse for each player so gamepad vs mouse players may decide who is better now your friend must use gamepad to play coop with you.
Probably it would be ok to play on consoles.

Nice to see that remaster version have uncut version of E2M6 (BSP file had 1.4Mb limit). 🙂
