Sending them by steam might be good to see if the DLC is already owned (I am able to etner your other DLCs even though I own them)

Thanks for pointing this out. Unfortunately the DLC don't appear in the game list when I search another user's games for this. If I sent them via steam, will I be able to see if the winner owns that DLC?

Yes, when you are friends on steam and select the "Send my gift directly through Steam" option, you will see who of your friends already owns the DLC
