Contribute so that you can enter higher-level giveaways. Spend some time on the forums; there are a lot of invite-only giveaways, and even lurking about and reading what other people write will give you access to giveaways with better odds than these public giveaways. Be cautious when spending your points; that giveaway for the hot new game is enticing, but with 5,000+ entries, your chances of winning are slim to none. Those points would be better spent on giveaways with less than 1,000 entries. And finally, complete puzzles in in the puzzle section of the forum. There are a few dedicated puzzlers, but for the most part, people seem to avoid the puzzles. Almost all puzzle prizes have less than 100 entries, and some of the more difficult puzzles might have less than 10 entries, giving you a much better chance of winning.

Yeah leving up your contributor level is a good idea. I prefer to sacrifice virgins tho.
