Never heard this, but rather because I'm from Russia and not quite familiar with many proverbs. But we have similar one about onion which could be translated like "An onion from seven ailments" (or "Лук от семи недуг" in Russian).
In German the purple one in the first picture would be a Pflaume and the green one from the second picture would be a Edel-Pflaume (also called Reneklode).
Well, when I translate Plum it says "Erik" in my language (Turkish) but normally in here, Erik is the second image I show (Greengage). Plum is "Mürdüm Eriği" which didn't make sense when I translate.
